To review my story very briefly, I was put on over 20 different

psychiatric medications for the span of almost a decade and was given

many different psychiatric labels. I experienced PSSD from Prozac

and it got worse with the addition of more psychiatric medications.

I have verified brain damage from the psychiatric medications from a

SPECT scan done approximately 6 months ago.

I have been off of all psychiatric medications for approximately one

year and it is clear to me now that psychiatric drugs are responsible

for causing the majority of the mental illness in the world. I have

made some significant overall progress with sleep, emotions etc. I

have made some decent recovery in terms of PSSD. The main issues are

still lack of libido, lack of arousal via visual stimuli and only

able to get 90% erection.

I attribute the minor recovery to an immersion in a variety of social

activities that have broken me out of my comfort zone, eating better,

exercising, as well as stopping dwelling on the fact that I have

things wrong with me because of psychiatric drugs. I have a long way

for recovery and I may never recover fully but things are much better

than they are this year than last year so I have to be thankful for

that.

I have not really been reading posts. Has anyone else had any full

or significant recovery? Has there been any new research done for

PSSD?

Zant, that's great news. Considering how long you were on different

drugs and that you've only been off them for a year, I think that's

pretty amazing. Congratulations. So you think the social

environment might be restting you brain? Similar to

biologic's " social dominance " theory?

I think the only way to truly recover is to follow the documents from

the Withdrawal and Recovery group has. I remember saying

that lots of protein is needed to heal the brain. Also try to

immerse yourself in all sorts of different activities that you have

never done before. They don't all have to be social activities but

many should be.

Also, I think you really need to find someone who cares about you,

understands your problem but is willing to stay in a relationship

with you for a long period of time. I unfortunately do not have the

last thing yet but will work on that this summer.
