And then we get to chill together apres in the hot tub and splash each other in the pool. That sure does help to work out with someone that you really enjoy. ´¨¨)) -:¦:-¸.·´ .·´¨¨))((¸¸.·´ ..·´ -:¦:- ~-:¦:- ((¸¸.·´*
Guest guest
> Still having a craptastic week dealing with outsourced IT to > India and being made system administrator though still getting > admin assistant wages, GRRRR! oh gawd, what a headache that must be pinky!! but we know you can handle it and prove to your bosses that you ARE the administrator and deserve the pay raise! maybe you can keep some stats as to how many calls you are making, how many hours you are putting in, how many people you talk to in a day there in india, and all of the issues are that you are taking care of there, and show these numbers to the bosses and push for the proper wage. maybe you can also ask for retro pay to the date of your appointment as administrator. hang in there, do your good job, push your boss, and get your raise! i feel kind of the same way.... now i am a trainer and and a supposed cheese expert with a ton of new and additional responsibilities, but no pay raise... ugh! my boss says that my pay raise is in the form of more working hours on my schedule (i get paid by the hour) but there is no reward for the many many hours that i put into my job off of the clock on my own time. oh well, at this place i take what i can get, but sometimes i wonder why i try so hard (but really i cant help it, it is just the way that i am) > I'll be lifting with Will for the first time, who has a bad > achilles injury from doing the eliptical 360 days a year and > water volleyball 50 weeks a year. oh no, sorry to hear about his injury, that must hurt like heck :/ i hope that lifting with you will help him to learn to enjoy weight training more. he sounds like a fun guy to hang out with, you are lucky to have so many f2f friends to work out with!!! sometimes i wish i had someone like that (but chinook will have to do....LOL) :*carolyn. Guest guest
thank you, Carolyn, for the thoughtful reply and this is what I intend to do. I don't know of many other admin assistants that do the department website, LAN administration, and system administration. Mind you I'd much rather do IT stuff than make travel arrangements for a fussy exec and order coffee for meetings <yawn> but I would like to be compensated for the level of work that I do. I'm sorry that as a trainer you're still making as much as a newer ee - that's not fair either.HUGS HUGS HUGS. It is good to be employed and have $ though.. Guest guest
Ugh! I hear you on the work issues - sometimes there is no equity - there are other people in my office at the same level/grade as me who do half the work and have half the responsibility. *SIGH* But, I take it in large part b/c I have job schedule flexibility which is most important to me right now. We also haven't had a raise in several years due to budget problems and the economy. But, at least we're still here w/ jobs!! Carolyn - I'm the same way as you - I can't do something half a$$ed - so I get to do more! WOW! Talk about gasping for air! Love it! My favorite song so far, "Work Me" in section 4, which I modified to the mudruns, 4 front kicks, double jab speedbag, jab to 3:00, roundhouse to 9:00 (I took out most of the extra turns and spins in this round). My favorite part in Turbo - the 5 jumping lunges with the 4 jabs tacked on at the end! WOOOOOT!!! Off to the gym for LATseration aka Back Night.I'll be lifting with Will for the first time, who has a bad achilles injury from doing the eliptical 360 days a year and water volleyball 50 weeks a year. He hates weights but has no other choice for workouts right now. I hope we don't kill each other (we bicker a lot over weights) but I'm sure we will mostly be laughing. He really is my favorite workout partner. And then we get to chill together apres in the hot tub and splash each other in the pool.
Guest guest
It occurs everywhere.. very sad. But I can't complain (although many would hate it). my pay is totally based on my work production. IF I don't get grants - I don't get any $$..lots of pressure to perform but hey it is what I signed up for.. and I like to do reseach To: exercisevideos Sent: Thursday, May 10, 2012 11:40 AM Subject: Re: esplanade walk, turbo kick R50 through Turbo Ugh! Guest guest
Make that 3 of us... definitely. I've been called an overachiever more times than I can count, usually by people that aren't willing to put in much effort! :-) Re: esplanade walk, turbo kick R50 through Turbo > Carolyn - I'm the same way as you - I can't do something half> a$$ed - so I get to do more! :)LOL, i know, right!?!:*c.
