Guest guest
Judy the other instructor, we had, Kristi, was WONDERFUL - she didn't cue every single thing but she cued on time and enough. This woman was LATE with both verbal and even most of the nonverbal ones. You basically just had to memorize it as you went along and get it right the next set of stanzas and chorus in the song. If I'd had the right bra and shoes I probably would have stuck it out. Samba, yes.. Zumba.. requires my " iron warrior " bra :)and my dance shoes.and the instructors often don't use many verbals.. it is sort of their thing.. " international " i.e. don't have to translate.. anyway if the instructor is good and up high .. it works great. As I said I was in awe of the little girl teaching it at work. oh plus Zumba is just have fun.. she kept saying don't worry about being off .. just shake it.. It's identical to Les Mills Body Balance/Flow as far as I can tell, and the class was broken up into sections, each one song long, and as I recall, they were: tai chi type moving warmupvinyasa heat building / sun salutationsstrength buildingbalance poseship opening posescore work 1core work 2seated posesshavasanaOverall I prefer the regular yoga classes we had at 24 Hour Fitness, but hey, the instructor was very good as was the class energy so I'm not complaining. It was challenging, and it got the job done! I was going to stay for Zumba but left after the first song. I needed a second sports bra on to hold the flopping sisters in place ,my shoes had too much tread on them, and the instructor, a sub, didn't cue, she used her hands for everything and I need the verbal cues as a choreography challenged person!
