Guest guest
I also take Humeri. I now have extremely dry skin. If I scratch too much I raise welts, and even bleed. I was even taking Zyrtec for a while because it was so bad on my legs. I don't know it this will help you, but it has helped me a great deal/ Oatmeal soap and lotion, I like the Alove brand. The make soap , shower gel ,face cleaner and lotion. I find as long as I use the shower gel and lotion, my skin is pretty good, and no longer take any oral medicine for it. in WI <jhughes_bp@...> wrote: This is interesting that these articles were posted right when I'm wondering if I'm having skin problems from the Humira that I just recently started taking. I had my third injection last Sunday (I go every other week). Then beginning Sunday afternoon I began feeling itchy, mainly on my chest and my back. Here I am one week later and I'm still itching. I feel like I can't stand it anymore and I'm going to have to call the doctor tomorrow. It is mainly on my upper torso, especially my back and chest, not on my face. It's not like I have hives. There is no redness, only from where I've scratched too much. The Benadryl and Cortisone cream I've been using don't seem to be taking it away. So here's my questions... 1. Is this most likely a result of the Humira? 2. If so, does this mean I am going to have to stop taking the Humira (I really hope not, it is really helping my RA). 3. Can the doctor just prescribe something for me to make this go away? If anyone has any experiences with this, I'd appreciate some advice. Guest guest
, Could be. I had rashes, swollen face and hives with the Enbrel which is very similar to humira. I didn't stop taking it until it stopped helping years later. I was given claritin and also took zyrtec at one time. healing, Ebony
Guest guest
Thanks . I'm going to run out today after work and see if I can find it. I'll give it a try and see if it works. I'm not so sure that I want to call the doctor just yet because I'm afraid he'll yank me off of the Humira. I really hope this works because this itching is driving me up the wall. susan smith <bizzare48@...> wrote: I also take Humeri. I now have extremely dry skin. Guest guest
I have been on Humira for almost two years now and I get rashes on my arms and the back of my legs. It usually lasts a day or two and seems to happen when I am taking Mtx. For the good that the Humira has done me I would not consider giving it up at this point in time. Guest guest
Hi Jack, This has been well over a week now that I have been itching. I don't want to give up the Humira but I do want to stop feeling itchy. Someone suggested oatmeal based soap and lotion so I'm trying that now. I sure hope that works, otherwise I'm going to have no choice but to call the doctor. Guest guest
I get a terrible itch from the pain medication I take. In fact I have a back scratcher in every room. My itch usually starts at bedtime. Lately I have been taking Benadryl before I go to bed and it sure helps. Hugs June ----- Original Message ----- From: Hi Jack, This has been well over a week now that I have been itching.
