That sounds so amazing, . I haven't had a workout like that in my life. 270 lb for leg press! That Noel is a beast! You're getting your money's worth and more. There's a really lovely social thing going on there.at Planet Fitness and would have been spoken to at CAC had I done this workout there. Noel was a little easier on me than usual since it was my first time back in awhile, sometimes we only did 7-8 reps in a set, but other times we did 10-11. What can I say, it was a bloodbath. I always grunt, make a seething sound through my teeth, and say the "s" word out loud a couple of times. Imagine being in mid-squat on your way up, pushing with all your might, and it not moving, a brief moment of fear of falling sets in but I trust Noel and every time I wince out a "help!" he goes, "I got you!" and he does, a *little*, just enough that I can barely get it up before he helps a little more. I just can't train this heavy by myself, especially for lower body. Thank GOD it's over before you know it! I did the usual 3 leg machines and 2 hamstring machines, fully loaded. The leg press was at 270 lbs (six 45 lb plates) and then there's the weight of the carriage too so it was actually more than that. Still, that's the easiest machine of the 3 (the hamstring work is a cake walk in comparison though I'm sore there too)Valentina was there, WOW is she growing fast! Just adorable as ever. While I was on the hack squat machine she sang "Nanny nanny poo-poo!" which busted us up! I told about my ankle cyst and he knew all about ganglions, he used to get one on his wrist from wrestling and was full of useful advice! He even offered to smash it for me - in the older days they would smash them with heavy bibles - both my doctor and said that! Yikes! JJ also welcomed me - it was so nice to see him too and I just felt... loved. I took this picture of Noel for my Facebook checkin. Here's my big 'o brute of a trainer who turned my legs into flesh and calcium today! <noel_june_2012.png>

Hugs!  Mind you, he HELPS me with the 270 lbs!  I could never do that by myself!!  But it is very satisfying to see that many plates on the bar :)Tomorrow I'll be doing the Wayne Iron Saddle Waddle for sure!

I am super behind on emails and no time to catch up right now but this certainly intrigued me! I'll have to go find the original post and earlier replies when I have a chance! :-)
