Guest guest
I used to not like training biceps because let's face it, it's a pretty boring part to work when all of the exercises resemble each other so closely. For triceps there's tons of variety, but biceps??/ NOPE! If you use dumbells you can stay put and get it done pretty fast. I added in the reverse curl (overhand grip) to add a teensy bit of variety and that's been nice. There was a teenager next to me doing incredible ab work. Wow. He was on the lanky side and the mother and bodybuilder in me wanted to hand him lots of protein shakes because he already had the body of a personal trainer, the natural kind you see at say, 24 Hour Fitness (no steroid use). He did set after set after set of pikes and knee pulls on the ball and then set after set after set of Russian twists with a med ball. If I had done that I would be doubled over for two weeks straight! I was super impressed and if I were 13-17 years old I would big time be into this young man and I felt like a real Mrs. for checking him out. He was movie star handsome too, he is going to break a lot of hearts and I'm sure he has already. After biceps I did my 30 minutes of eliptical and listened to my audio book. I've really come to enjoy this part of the workout too. After that it was hot tub and steam room, shower. I really, really love my empty gym at night! It's Portland's best kept secret! I don't mind bicep work, but I'm so weak in that area that I never feel like I can progress. Great job! ´¨¨)) -:¦:-¸.·´ .·´¨¨))((¸¸.·´ ..·´ -:¦:- ~-:¦:- ((¸¸.·´*
Guest guest
I feel I never go up in biceps It's always 15's and 12's for the 10 reps. However, Noel always says it's not how much you lift but what you look like on stage. If you have the mass or look like you want to look, that's all that counts! For me, it's not even that, it's, " Am I sore 2 days later? " if the answer is yes then I was a success. I go by pain factor!
