Guest guest
ive found this sight with some interesting information on it. apparently " post-orgasmic prolactin increase following intercourse is greater than following masturbation " 400% higher. http://www.reuniting.info/science/dopamine_separation_after_orgasm it also says that dopamine is the go get it trigger of sexual activity and after orgasm the high of dopamine is brought back down after orgasm by prolactin. http://www.reuniting.info/science/dopamine_separation_after_orgasm could it be that because people with pssd dont orgasm properly there prolactin serge isnt enough to bring dopamine under control? an if so it isnt resting the dopamine receptors enough to be stimulated in future, because of prolonged over stimulation and down regulation of there density? this may explain why some peoples depression is cured but at the cost of pssd.(locked into that feel good feeling well after orgasm until eventually it becomes apart of who you are and not something you can switch onto) our problem might be to much dopamine or that were switched on constantly to that circuitry or to the feeling of dopamine so it just doesn't grab us like it should.(because its never switched off) if this is the case it could explain symptoms of sexual exhaustion and if this dopamine high down regulates density of other receptors like androgen receptors it could be having a constant double impact on sexuall desire. some more info i found on this sight says that it takes 7 days for a sexually-satiated rat (thats a rat that's shagged so much it doesn't feel like doing it anymore) to regain its full androgen receptor density. http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/abs/10.1111/1467-9450.00343 7 days for a rat seen as though he/she only lives for about 4 years is gonna be like two years for a human, if it works in that way. (maybe it doesn't) maybe we can simulate the prolactin surge after sex to bring dopamine under control after orgasm, trick the brain. gaba gives an increase serge in prolactin after consumption, maybe you can take some masturbate or have sex and afterwards the prolactin surge would control the dopamine desensitising the receptors ready for dopamine to take over your sex drive, maybe doing this few times would bring things back to normal. p.s. this is an interesting sight if you get chance to read it. http://www.reuniting.info/science/orgasm_pill_sex_addiction_holstege_a ll_in_the_mind
