Guest guest
" If your parents or grandparents had heart disease, you may believe your fate is sealed because of your genes. That may not be so. " I already know it's not so. I won't even bother to read the rest of this article as it's old news to me. (If I missed anything important, please post a quote of it.) Google - Dr. Bruce Lipton, and you'll find what I'm talking about here. Genetic determinism, a.k.a. genetic control, is a religion, a myth, born of the inherent intermingling of dogma and pragmatism within the medical community which on many fronts have superseded proven factual data. In short, many " scientists " and " doctors " have their head inflated by playing god, and have lost their way, and didn't bother to add up 1+1=2. Unfortunately, mythical beliefs have been controlling the medical establishment to the detriment of society. Doctors are not immune to this themselves. They are actually expected to die 20 years sooner than the rest of us. Ironic, I know. This is why I'm especially discriminating as to what is fact and what is fiction whenever something is presented as " medical " or " scientific " fact. This must be done everywhere. i.e., some good questions to ask: who funded the study your reading? That's just an example here. The money trail tells a lot in most cases. I don't want to get philosophical or metaphysical here...just check out Bruce Lipton, and you'll see the giant flaws in modern medicine. NM, I'll find some links here... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8506668136396723343 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6568107389365915765 & hl=en > > http://www.exduco.net/news.php?id=3102 > <http://www.exduco.net/news.php?id=3102> >

Guest guest
If you suffer from chronic depression psychiatry is the worse thing that can happen to you. People with chronic depression are supposed to be pessimists but psychiatry is far worse. You will soon get to be told that it is genetic and nothing can be done but medicine can manage it - for some. I can't imagine anyone not feeling doomed and more depressed after seeing a psychiatrist. CBT is the opposite, it is full of optimism and hope, and this is what depressed people need. Dr Burns claims he can heal any depression if given enough time. It usually takes him about nine months to heal a chronic depression. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) might turn out to be more powerful for chronic depression. It's is very similar to Buddhism in that you learn to accept painful feelings without judgement and rumination and start to enjoy life again. ACT believes that our emotional states are not determined by our genes. Jay ph wrote two books showing that identical twins studies actually proved the reverse of what we have been told. By doing the maths correctly he found that in no way were genes the cause of mental disturbance. Recently scietists found a schizophrenic gene that they said was 50% responsible for the illness, the rest was enviroment. But even more recenlty scientists have admitted there are no faulty genes in schizophrenia, and they are all greatly dissapointed. All those years of research and now nothing. With my depression there was nothing more painful than to believe that I was different from normal people. That I was a deeply unfortunete young man with genes that meant I will never be happy, or be able to have a meaningful fulfilling relationship with someone special. That I was actually born no good, inadequate, and second rate. By reading CBT and especailly ACT I found out that we all suffer and feel inadequate from time to time. That I am not unusual in this. That it is my thinking that there is something terrible wrong with me because I have fears and worries and don't feel confident like other people that is causing the problem. Everyone can find faults with themselves. It is those that can accept their faults and weeknesses that are the most confident. It is because they are able to get close to other people and then they realise that people still like and want to be with them. Psychiatry made me hate myself more, it is anti-therapy. I hate psychiatry for how they made me feel, and now with their useless drugs (that help hardly anyone - it's all placeabo) they have ruined the one thing that did give me pleasure and escapement, my terrific and wonderful sex drive. Guest guest
Nice work. You must have learned a lot from him. I hope the rest of the group learns a lot about it too. > > > > > > http://www.exduco.net/news.php?id=3102 > > > <http://www.exduco.net/news.php?id=3102> > > > > > >
Guest guest
I believe that EFT (Emotional freedom Technique), WHEE (Wholistic healing Easy & effective) are the same as ACT(Acceptance and commitment therapy). The difference is it is made easy. Then logically sinse so many people are following it maybe there is some truth into it. I used the EFT DVDs I bought over the internet, as I was just following the instructions and trying to learn, I felt some difference after 2 trials the next day. I have not contiued due to one reason. That I need to fix my marriage relationship as I have been suffering from it for some time, before doing EFT or WHEE continiously for some time.
