Hi Heidi:

I don't think that the RA itself brings about sun

sensitivity, but the medications sure can! I know

that methotrexate does, so I slather myself in

sunscreen before being out in the sun for a long time

(and for me, being blonde and very fair, that's about

15 minutes tops!)in direct sunlight. a or

might know more about the Plaquenil and Prednisone.

Also, call your doctor, as it may even be a reaction

to the medications that the sun tanning exacerbated,

and they might have some meds to calm the reaction

down -
