Pump it up - ultimate dance workout

I was so hungry this evening and I was already done eating the allowed calories

(according to fitbit) so I ate and then I went to look for something different

in the exercise stack to do some more work out.

I found this dance workout CD I burned a while back but I never used it. I saw

it advertised on the Insanity disc so I downloaded it to try it out.

What a pretentious video. The girls look anorexic, not that I didn't like their

long legs and skinny abs, but they look like size -2, with perfectly curled

hair. Actually the way they look is not that important but they made me feel

huge and I'm a size 8.

The warm up was OK, but she was switching from one move to the next so fast, I

had a hard time following. I expected a bit of a walk though the moves. But no,

she was doing it all fast and no description of what to expect they just went to

the next move. There was one guy.

I managed to follow and substituted some moves that were too hard to follow. It

was tough to do it in a mirror image. I sweated though so I thought it was an OK

exercise.

Just when I started to laugh about the whole party, my DVD player seized up. It

might as well. I laughed because it seemed that every time I lost arm feet

coordination, she would say " that's the way " , when I could see that wast NOT the

way to do it. At some point she asked the guy to come and join her at the front

and he was right behind her, touching her, pretending to dance, I thought gross,

if I sweat like this during exercise I don't want anyone touching me and making

me even more hot. But hey, they wanted to look sexy and dancing.

It was too sexual, (if I find that offensive it's a sure sign I am getting too

old ;0)) it was not really dancing, and yeah the focus was on being sexy. I'm

not saying, 'cause they were sexy but come on. Exercise it was not.

OK moving on... back to Insanity LOL. At least that's not pretending to be

something else. It's exercise, hard core. The ultimate dance workout was not

that hard except right after the warm up but it could have been part of the warm

up, I'm not sure because the transitions were so non existent. It didn't make me

sweat as much as Minna's total fat burning.

I think I will put this away and will look for something else tomorrow. Good

thing I didn't pay a penny. I give it a 3 out of 5 stars for effort to sweat.
