There is a drug that lets you sleep longer, but it is $4 bucks a pill... Pris
Guest guest
One of the first thing my rhuemy did was give a sleeping pill to use during sleepless or bad times. She said it is important to get enough sleep. lindayeakel <lindayeakel@...> wrote: Is anyone losing sleep due to pain? If so what do you do or what meds do you take. Lately I have been in a huge flare up. I wake up about 3:30am in such pain. The pain is all over, but mainly in my neck and shoulders. My hands ache so badly and are so weak that I can't pull the covers over, so I lay there in mega pain and brrrr, cold. When I can't stand it anymore I crawl out of bed usually about 5:30am. Takes forever as I have so much joint pain. Knees, feet ankles. Shoulders and neck still hurt along with hands. Has anyone been like this????? I can't take my meds without food, so I am up for the day. I am seeing my Rheumy tomorrow. I just don't know what to due to snap out of this flare-up, worst ever. I usually feel so much better later in the day. Yesterday I felt pretty good. Went shopping for groceries at Wal-mart and today I am paying for it. Because I can't get a complete nights sleep I am constantly tired. I hope I feel better soon. This is the absolute pits.

How much do you take a day? I have to use it sparingly, or the effect wears off, and I refuse to increase the dose. We all know where that leads! Guest guest
That sounds like the same cycle I have. I'm sort of OK during the day, but the longer I'm in bed, the more I hurt, and the less I can sleep. The pain pills (Tramadol or Percocet) help, (or at least knock me out) but I can't take them too late in the night, or I'm too gorped out to function in the morning. So I seem to live in a constant state of extreme fatigue. Sometimes I have a hard time staying awake at the wheel when I am driving my kids around, which is REALLY scary. I try to take a nap during the day when it gets too bad, but it never seems to be enough. I'm always exhausted by early evening. --- In , " lindayeakel " <lindayeakel@...> wrote: > > Is anyone losing sleep due to pain? If so what do you do or what meds > do you take. Guest guest
Catch 22. That's what I miss most, a good night sleep. Randall <krandall@...> wrote: That sounds like the same cycle I have. Guest guest
Hi all, I break a Tylenol PM in half and take it before bedtime...it seems to help me sleep better, but I have a hangover in the morning that lasts til midmorning. If I take Oxycodone for pain, I bounce off the walls for hours, then crash...I can't win for losing!
