Last night was like any other night except for the fact i didnt take my

prednisone before bed...HUGE MISTAKE! I couldnt sleep at all. when it was time

for me to get up i couldnt. This hasnt happened to me in years...My son still

had to get to school. SO, i just sucked it up and forced myself thru the

pain. No offense meant to you older ones, but i felt 99 and decrepid. I got him

halfway to school and he walked the rest of the way with a classmate and her

mom. Let me remind you i had a 2 yr old in tow that wanted to jump in every

puddle she saw... lol kids. Anyways, i came back and got her breakfast, took 3

tylenol pm and passed out on the couch while she wached cartoons. All of this

while my husband slept like a rock... how can i get him more involved? How

can i wean myself off of the prednisone? its the only thing that seems to help

these days.... ty for listening. hugs

, i think all men are like that! lol well at least ours are. Just

going to give him a crash course in RA knowlege. Maybe, just maybe some will

sink into that thick skull of his :) I was on prednisone for about a year

before i was diagnosed with RA. Weaned off of it for a long time but started

back

on around xmas. Only on 10 mg once a day so its not alot, but enough.

Awesome for reducing inflamation and swelling, but if you take it long term it

can

cause side effects. I plan to wean off before i get to my rheumy appointment

in March. hugs

Hi ,

sorry you have had such a bad day, I have never been on Prednisone but have

heard much about it not much good though. How long have you been on it for it to

have such an affect from missing one dose? I hope tommorrow is a better day for

you. I don't know how you can gain more understanding from your hubby, I find

that although my hubby understands it depends on his own priorities as to how

much support I receive with the boys, house etc. He is currently only working

part time, three evenings a week so is home every day, but some days he is

helpful and others he mind as well be on a different planet..

Take care
