Guest guest
I know a lot of you have had similar problems, but I am seeing red right now. I don't know who I'm angriest at, the pharmacy or UPS. I just started Humira, and now Blue Cross has forced me to change to a new pharmacy from the local one I used for the first two months. I told them when I set up the account that UPS would be a problem unless each and every shipment included detailed directions to my house, and my phone number (more about my on-going struggle with UPS later). I called them to check on the shipment when it didn't arrive on Tuesday morning, I called twice more Tuesday, and I called at least twice today. They finally called a UPS supervisore, and my Humira arrived at 5:30 this evening. Surprise, surprise - not! - the ice had melted and the package was well above the acceptable temp. They will send a new one, but not before mid-day Friday. Which means I will be a day late taking my Humira (if UPS actually gets it here this time), and I have spent two full days sitting at home waiting, and will spend at least another half-day Friday. They think I have nothing to do but sit around waiting! And, the lady I talked to the last time said something to the effect that if I just called them right away instead of waiting . . . It seems like no one at UPS can read. The package was scheduled for overnight delivery, but, yesterday, it seems they " forgot " to put the package on the truck. So they just let it sit there, unrefrigerated, and rescheduled the delivery for today. Despite the big label that says, " Keep refrigerated " . Now, UPS has been a problem for the 14 years I've lived in this house. Yes, I've been fighting them for 14 years. They claim my house doesn't exist, despite the fact that it's been here since 1926. And has the number painted on the curb in two places, and has another sign out front with the number on it. The problem is that the south side of the street is one city, and the north side another one. They just assume that both sides are the same, and so don't even bother to look in our block. The regular driver has it figured out, but any time there's a sub, this happens. At least half a dozen times a year, and each time I end up talking to the local supervisor (different every time, it seems) who assures me that they'll put a note in the file so every package will be automatically marked with as " Check for special instructions " . Right. Oh, I so look forward to going through this every month! Thanks for letting me vent. Gotta get that nasty stress worked off somehow!
