Guest guest
Great job with MBS, Ronda! That is one of my "desert island" workouts! I hope stretching and resting will help you feel better fast! Thurs Hi everyone,I've been pretty busy this week, but am still getting in my workouts. This morning I did Maximum Body Sculpting with Tracie Long. I usually alternate toning video days with running on my treadmill, but I'm going to do all videos now. I've been having problems with my piriformis muscle, from running. It doesn't hurt so much while I run, but I really feel it later, whenever I sit down, and especially sitting in the car. I had to go to a seminar for work yesterday, and was miserable sitting all day long. So I'm going to lay off the running for awhile (or forever?. Hopefully I will feel some improvement. I'm also doing stretches to help.I ordered a few cardio videos, Kathy , Christi , and Sansone, so I'm excited about that. :)Hope everyone has a wonderful day,Ronda
Guest guest
Hi Ronda,Sorry to hear about the piriformis - do a lot of "Figure 4" stretches and pigeon pose from yoga. I have pretty much decided to give up running - although my knees never bothered me before, they started to as I started to increase my running time and outdoor running. I figure, why look for trouble - I have lots of DVDs for cardio and I love to walk!Donna Subject: ThursTo: exercisevideos Date: Thursday, April 12, 2012, 7:54 AM Hi everyone,I've been pretty busy this week, but am still getting in my workouts. So far my knees haven't bothered me, but I keep an eye out there. I'm still trying to increase my distance and speed, but I'll do it at a pace I can handle. Guest guest
Thank you everyone. I will definitely look up those yoga stretches online and try them out. I've noticed my knees bothering me, too, since I started running 4 months ago...so yeah, along with the piriformis problems, I think my body's telling me to go back to lower impact. I'm older now (mid-40's) so maybe can't do everything I'd like to, lol. Today I did Biggest Loser's Power Walk video, the whole 4 miles plus cool down, and I really enjoyed it. I followed along with Sione's more advanced movements, and felt like I got a decent workout. Have a great day! Guest guest
Hi Ronda, I'm in my mid-40's too and yes, I think we need more low impact days and also a lot more flexibility training than we did in our 20's!!! I know I do. I think a big part is also having a desk job and just not moving enough during the work say - I tend to stiffen up!Take care!Donna Subject: Re: ThursTo: exercisevideos Date: Friday, April 13, 2012, 7:57 AM Thank you everyone.
