Guest guest
I am amother of 6 who was diagnosed with lupus 2+years ago (before my last child). I can remember when the symptoms started (in middle school) and am struggling to slow my life down. I wish more was known about lupus then as I would not have been labeled as " lazy " or " a slob " or " depressed " . I currently live in beautiful skagit valley in washington. My husband, who isn't home most of the time, is not any help physically w/the daily events as he is active duty navy and has been in for 22 years. There are days wherer I just want to curl up and sleep for ever if I could but my 5 year old autistic son is up at the first sign of light and doesn't go to bed til its gone. I have learned to adapt alot of our daily routine and use locks. I am fortunate (I think) to not need meds at this point and time but wonder how long before I will need them. I am looking into having gatsric bypass surgery in hopes of loosing 10 pounds and taking the pressure off my joints and ease the pain from degenerative joint disease. Does anyone have any feedback ? success stories or horror stories? Jen
