Guest guest
Hi Dave: How nice of you to be asking for your girlfriend - a supportive relationship is so important in being able to deal with this disease. Yes, you can have RA in your back, although it is more common in the cervical spine, I think. My back pain, when it occurs, is in the lower back, and especially in the areas of the sacroiliac joints. I think that pretty much anywhere in our body where there is connective tissue, there is a chance that that inflammation can occur, and cause pain. You might want to let the doctor know, however, in case it is something else going on with her back. It just came on all of a sudden or slowly over time? Kathe in CA > horrible back pain.
