Guest guest
We survived the sleepover! It wasn't all that bad - the wild card girl had to leave early and didn't spend the night so I think that made a difference.A group of girls stayed up late talking (my DD was one of them), but at least they were quiet. I'm not sure if DD will elect to have such a large sleepover again in the future (she said at times it got too crazy) - but live and learn. Oh - a nice thing - one of my DD"s friends from early childhood came and in spite of the fact that they don't see each other that often any more - just different schedules, schools and activities -they really hit it off - she even stayed later on Sunday a.m. to play a little longer. The girl's mom and I are friends - but again, due to different schedules, lifesyles (she's a stay at home mom w/ 3 kids!) and activities we don't get together all that often either. So, new vow for the coming school year - get them together more often! Anyway, between "waiting" on them, cleaning up before and after the party (memo to self - do NOT put out beading crafts unless you want to step on beads for the rest of your life!) I was pretty tired yesterday. Although I did do a Classical Stretch from Season 4 - the Back Pain episode. I know this is going to be a rough week for my back - between the bending over to clean before and after the party (which is not a good move for me - and I really should learn to modify this more!) and this week's packing for vacation - I know my back will not be pleased so I have to treat it very well.Today's workout was the Upper Body circuit from 10 lb slimdown xtreme - I really had to talk myself into doing it - but I'm glad I did. I finished up w/ Rodney's A.M. Yoga for your Week - Twists. I may just work through that Yoga DVD this week.Tomorrow is cardio - not sure what I'm doing yet, though.Talk to everyone laterDonna
Guest guest
I'm so glad the party went so well!! I hear ya on the wild card, we've had a few of those practically wreck a party and I was really glad when one went home early one year too. That is really nice about the friend she reconnected with too. I did LOL about the beads... the dangers of girl children... at least with my son it was legos and you could usually see them (though stepping on them hurt worse) but the darn beads and GLITTER go everywhere and never ever go away.Good luck with your back and congrats too on the workout, you're doing great as usual! To: exercisevideos <exercisevideos >; Fit Firmies <FitFirmies >Sent: Mon, August 6, 2012 8:24:00 AMSubject: Monday - Xtreme Upper Body & Yoga We survived the sleepover!
