Inamed posts higher Q4 results,hikes 2002 forecast SANTA BARBARA, Calif, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Inamed Corp. a global medical device company, on Thursday posted a higher fourth-quarter profit and raised its guidance for 2002. The company reported fourth-quarter net income of $6.4 million, or 30 cents per diluted share, compared with $5.2 million, or 23 cents per diluted share, a year ago. Inamed said its results exceeded the upper end of its previous estimates. Sales rose 5 percent to $60.9 million. Cash earnings per share for the fourth quarter rose 32 percent to 45 cents a share, excluding $3.1 million, or 12 cents per share, of amortization of intangibles and noncash compensation as well as a restructuring charge of $1.1 million, or 3 cents per share. The company said it now expects 2002 cash earnings per share to be in the range of $1.90 to $2. Inamed had previously said it expected 2002 cash EPS in a range of $1.82 to $1.95.
