Guest guest
Hi Pam: Not a stupid question at all - actually, I am interested in what others have to say on this. I live in southern California in a mostly desert type area, so we get very hot in the summer (around 100) and then in the winter we have some rain and some coldness around 50 in the daytime and around 30 at night, rarely lower. Our winter does not last very long - as it is now, it is about 75 degrees outside now, and sunny, but I still have pain. For me, there is always some degree of pain no matter what the weather. Last week with the rain, my RA was much worse. The fibro also gets worse in colder weather. But sometimes there is just no rhyme or reason as to why I am flaring. I usually do better in the summer because of the heat but even then have flares. I do think that the flares I have in summer are less than those I have in the colder times, though. I am very glad that I don't live in a colder climate, or humid as that kills me too. Don't know why you had increased pain on returning to Colorado - maybe there is a difference in elevation - does anybody know if that is also a consideration, as well as climate, in flares?
