They are all related, it seems! I'm feeling a really high stress level right

now. My new job is more stressful than any I've had since the military, although

it's really not a " bad " sort of stress. Our work is all graded, and a forgotten

comma or double space will cost points. There are a gazillion " gotcha!'s " on

each page, so what I turn in has to be " perfect. " Normally I thrive under such a

challenge, but it does raise the pressure level! And I must be doing well at it

-- I just got a promotion after only two months! (That caught me by surprise!)

Add that to the increasing stress of my parent's care. My dad and DH don't see

eye-to-eye on many things, and I often feel caught in the middle of that, too!

Mom continues her downward slide, both mentally and physically. I think it may

be time to start thinking about more care for her than what I do.

My dad keeps a " stash " of candy in their room, and whenever I've had a

frustrating time of dealing with Mom, I raid it. :-( I generally don't keep ANY

candy or snacks in the house at all because they call to me too much! -- but I

know where Dad keeps his!! If I get the munchies, I usually eat just plain

saltine crackers or popcorn.

It's been hard for me to keep from " eating the stress away! " Release those

soothing endorphins! Fat, sugar, and salt! Yay! Somehow, I've managed to hold my

weight down, but it's been really hard!

The workouts help immensely to relieve some of that stress AND release the

endorphins!! It relaxes the muscles and calms the nerves quite a bit -- not to

mention the benefits of weight loss and muscle toning!

I'm so glad you guys are here to listen AND UNDERSTAND these rantings! Many of

my coworkers and such look at me blankly when I mentions what a nice workout I

did last night or something. " What? You mean exercise?? Why on earth would that

be nice?? " They just don't get it!

You guys are an inspiration, too! We've all got our problems -- parents, kids,

jobs, health, pets, and such. The fact that you " keep pluggin' " makes it easier

for me to keep going, too!

Okay, now I feel better!

Thanks for listening...

Indyrose,

letting off steam...
