Guest guest
Yesterday's visit to the foot doctor did both good & not so good to me. The good thing is my heels are finally no longer aching. The not so good is that the cortisone shot caused my foot to swell on the bottom (directly below where he did it) and it is very painful to walk on. Yesterday it was numb so it felt weird but not bad. Today I've been icing it off and on all day but it felt better tonight so I finally got some housework done and was able to play in the yard with the kids a little (now I'm icing it again). This happened once before and finally went away a few days later so I know it isn't a bad sign but it isn't fun either. That meant any exercise I did had to be fully on the floor so I did Winsor Pilates Ab Sculpting. It was tough but very good. I did well until towards the end when I could feel I wasn't lowering myself back down with quite as much control as I had in the beginning (thunk goes my back against the mat!). I also had to follow the modifer for the last 2 exercises but was able to do them. Overall, I felt good about it but can see I have more room to improve, which is good too. After that I did 20 push-ups on my knees. My challenge to myself is to do 5 more each day, I started with 10, once I can use my feet again I will work on my toes pushups again). Then I put in Madeline ' P.M. Stretch. I love this one but couldn't handle the standing stretches so I took it out and put in Tamilee's stretch video and did the 10 minute seated stretch which mostly went well. and a friend dug a fire pit tonight and roasted marshmallows over it. The weather is just incredible right now. I took pictures of everyone enjoying it. DH worked hard all day following up on employment leads. Lots of stuff popping up but no calls for interviews yet. Hopefully soon. Feeling good here, I hope everyone else is too.
