Guest guest
I think it's because the exercises alternated between chest and back? I never get sore when I alternate body parts. I have to burn out each muscle without stopping in order to get sore. Crazy because it doesn't matter how heavy I lift or how hard I thought the workout was, I still never get sore like that. ´¨¨)) -:¦:-¸.·´ .·´¨¨))((¸¸.·´ ..·´ -:¦:- ~-:¦:- ((¸¸.·´*
Guest guest
Hi , Is this the first or second time you did this one? I find if I'm going to get sore, it will be on the first try of a workout - after that - not so much! For instance, I was really sore the first time I did Xtreme Upper Body - today - nothing....I think we just adapt really quickly. And, if it is any consolation, not being sore doesn't mean it wasn't worthwhile or effective!Donna To: Exercise Videos <exercisevideos > Sent: Tuesday, August 7, 2012 12:45 AMSubject: back, abs, and Zumba! I must say I was a bit disappointed in X-Train Fit's Chest & Back workout because I wasn't sore the next day, I think it's because the exercises alternated between chest and back? Tonite I went to CAC and trained back. I did my usual 6 exercises, three sets of 10 and had 2 PR's - got up to 95 lbs on the Fixed Pulldown and used a 45 lb dumbell for pullovers. Zumba, as usual, was tons of fun! ___________________________________________________________________ Please help support my website by doing your Amazon shopping through me with this link: http://www.amazon.com/? & tag=pinkpussycasc-20 & camp=212361 & creative=392009 & linkCode=wsw & THANK YOU! =^..^=
Guest guest
It was the first time. I think 's right, it's the alternating that lessened the overall effect, though it was plenty challenging during the exercise. However, if I'm not sore the next day I feel I'm not building muscle. I want BIG muscles - I don't want to be " toned " if that makes sense? And I confess I'm a bit of a masochist. Pain makes me feel alive. Hi , Is this the first or second time you did this one? Guest guest
Hey ,I get what you're saying about no soreness, no muscle build BUT... is that scientifically true? I'd read (and I don't know where so I don't know if I'm right) that even if you don't feel soreness it doesn't mean the workout wasn't as effective as you were hoping it would be. If you're not sure about that then perhaps it would be worthwhile to investigate it so that you can feel better about some of your workouts (the effectiveness of them)? (missing Bad Judy right now who would, no doubt, have studies to point us to)To: exercisevideos Sent: Tue, August 7, 2012 12:09:49 PMSubject: Re: back, abs, and Zumba! It was the first time. Guest guest
I'd have to do some research, but in Fitness everyone has their own ideas and stats to back them up. I'm of the " No pain, No gain " school of Noel and I'm a masochist. I'm also extremely busy (as we all are). I get up at 6:00 am and often don't get back home til around 8:30 or later. I want to make my workouts count. I feel if I'm not sore that I wasted my time (whether I actually did or not). For me my non pain but good for workout I do is my 3 mile Esplanade walk that I do at lunch, which I did today :)I miss Judy a lot too, and think of her often I hope she's having fun doing T'ai Cheng in the Clouds Hey ,I get what you're saying about no soreness, no muscle build BUT... is that scientifically true? Guest guest
I hadn't thought about that with the different views in fitness, I've noticed that too. If it is working for ya then that is all that counts! Tai Cheng in the clouds... I bet she is... sigh...To: exercisevideos Sent: Tue, August 7, 2012 5:32:18 PMSubject: Re: back, abs, and Zumba! Guest guest
(((( both of you )))))I agree. If it works for you, and it keeps you working out, that's MONEY whether it's the optimum way to train or not. In the long run, it becomes the best way to work out. I hadn't thought about that with the different views in fitness, I've noticed that too. If it is working for ya then that is all that counts! Tai Cheng in the clouds...
