Guest guest
I'm only allowed one month of of Oxycontin at a time for hospital legal standards. I had to fill out papers to even be prescribed the meds to begin with. My doctor doesn't see it as a hassle since he needs to see me every 3 weeks or so anyway. He is, however, only 3 miles away... for those of you that are a distance away that would stink. kerri sue Dennis W <betnden@...> wrote: Terri, I understand the policy of no refills, but it would be nice to get a 3 month supply and save a couple of long trips at a time. It's almost 100 miles round trip, and with the price of gas, it would be a substantial savings. While I was in the hospital for pneumonia (again), I talked to my ex-doc, that became a Hospitalist, about getting stronger pills to help me get through the day, and take the 30 mg at night. He immediately wrote a prescription for 75 ea 15 mg tabs, which would be for 2 1/2 months supply. That says it can be done, but my Rheumy made his own policy. That's what I'd like to change.
