Guest guest
Dennis, I have been noticing an increase in my pain when the sun goes down. It's so weird! > > Since about 5 this afternoon, I've been hurting more and swelling a lot. Of > course there's a front passing through, so it probably has a lot to do with > it. Guest guest
Yeah, Lynn, that must be it, Lunar Pull! LOL BTW, I'm in Texas, east of Dallas. Before having RA, I suffered from Bursitis, mostly in my shoulders. I got to where I could tell what the weather was going to be like 3 days in advance. Sometimes it was so bad I had to use my left arm to raise my right one to comb my hair and would shake my head to brush my teeth because I couldn't move my arm. Of course I was too stubborn to go to a doctor, or just didn't think of it. I just suffered for a couple of days and it was over. After getting meds for RA, the Bursitis disappeared, so I didn't have an 'alert system' for weather any more. I started noticing that my flares may be tied to the weather like the Bursitis was, so I talked to my Rheumy about that and he was interested in hearing of the results. I got a cheap weather station for the house and started keeping daily notes. I logged time, temp, barometer, humidity, pain location and level, to no avail. There was no noticeable correlation, so I scrapped that program. Last evening must have been influenced by the front that went through because I'm much better today. I'm still sore and swollen, but the pain level that was a 9 then is only a 6 now, my " normal " pain level, and the swelling has gone down a lot. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the 'sun going down' or up. <grin> But then we never know! It's not been proven, but getting closer. Guest guest
I always hurt after dark too. I just thought it may be because it is late in the day. Who knows. " R.
