Guest guest
Did my usual 3 mile Esplanade Walk at lunch, and I'm slowly getting a tan from these unshaded walks along the river, which feels nice. After work I went to CAC and did the new Group Kick release, and so far to date this is my favorite one! The music is average, with a couple of really great songs but for the most part nothing to write home about. What's great about is that unlike the last release, it has lots and lots of kicks, and an emphasis on 2 of my favorite punches - the C punch and the A punch, along with lots of hooks, my alltime favorite punch, and this cool breaking bricks like in karate move. Lori and co-taught it and both were outstanding, and it was more fun with 2 teachers there! What I find interesting is that there were only 6 or 7 people there at this 6:30 class. Wow, at 24 Hour Fitness that class would be cancelled, the Turbo Kick classes there are full at this time! People complain that Zumba is too late at 7:30, but Zumba gets a good 20 people or so, way more than Group Kick or Group Power! I love how sleepy this place is in the evenings and how low key it is. It isn't the gym you go to to check out guys, though there are definitely some there, but it's not a scene... at all. I could go on and on about this place but I will stop here. It's just special, though certainly not for everybody, and I'll leave it at that!

Working out isn't always fun depending on your mood, but when you enjoy the environment, that makes all the difference. `* ¸*´¸.•´ ¸.•*¨)¸.•*¨)(¸.•´(¸.• (¸.•´¸¸.•¨¯`•.¸¸
