Guest guest
I take Elavil (Amitriptyline) also and it is the only such drug that I have had any improvement with. I've been on it a while so I don't know if it still makes me sleepy or not but it helps with the pain. I was given it for neuropathy but it seems to me that it covers many of this type pains. Neurontin did nothing and and Tegretol had TERRIBLE side effects. BVan (Betty) [ ] Re: suggestions for nighttime Hi Angie, Sorry I can't give advice on RA pain. Since I have FM my rheum gives me Elavil to help me sleep. In addition I take my muscle relaxant and Ultram. Those 3 meds help me sleep. Unfortunately I am on a diuretic which I take early morning. I still am up to the potty 2-3x night. But I am still able to rest between the trips. Guest guest
Sounds wonderful. Now if only a genie would pop over here every night and give me that massage I'd be in heaven. a On May 12, 2006, at 7:57 AM, pjb12345uk wrote: > ---you are askinf for suggestions > > i have lots and these are just some of the suggestions > massage therapy > > 3. Guest guest
The massage sounds good to me too. I have been in physical therapy for several months now after a fall last year and knee surgery............it goes on and on. Anyway I have become good friend with my physical therapist and in fact am taking a vacation next month to Maui ( the one my boss gave me as a Christmas bonus) and who better to take with me than my physical therapist and her good friend an MD...................My therapist was diagnosed with ankolsing spondylitis so she understand the RA thing.............anyway just had to tell everyone that I was so lucky to find her as a therapist and a friend. Just to rub it in,.,,...she is taking her portable massage table with us so we can have massages every night,,,, Hoping everyone is having a pain free day Hugs Pat in So oregon a Papola <a54@...> wrote: Sounds wonderful. Guest guest
How nice Pat! Your trip will be so much more enjoyable having your PT with you to help take away the aches and pains of traveling. It's so nice having someone that understands. a On May 12, 2006, at 5:45 PM, Alvarez wrote: > The massage sounds good to me too.
