Body Combat 23 Tonite came over and we did Body Combat 23. She is such a natural at the choreography, I love it!!! This one, #23, is by far the hardest release I've done yet. We both were sweating bullets. What's so fun about doing it with is that when they divide the class into 2 teams and I got to shadow box with each other! FUN, and the song was Idol's "Rebel Yell".I watched do the abs. My abs are still KILLING ME from Saturday! I double over every time I sneeze it's so bad. I obviously do NOT train my core enough! This was my wake up call! Still, I challenge you all to do it. All I did was, on a stability ball:50 center crunches50 right elbow toward left knee (I kept my legs on the floor) 50 left elbow toward right knee (I kept my legs on the floor) I took about a 45 second break in between each set of 50. Aunt Flo came last night and I swear between yesterday and today I feel like I've lost 5 lbs. LOVE THAT FEELING! Today, however, will be a rest day. If I do anything it will more than likely be biceps and Spinning at home. Happy Hump Day, Pals! Sometimes it is a matter of just doing something different, too. I admit I overlook training my core and pretty much only do it for the 5 minute segment of kickboxing classes and videos. This was a wake-up. I'm going to work on abs FIRST THING from now on before my regular strength workouts at least 3x a week but ideally 4 to increase core strength. It's so imporant -to protect your back among other things! This sounds very tough but I will accept your challenge! I'm not sure when, but I'll try to put it in sometime next week... and sometime when I don't plan to sneeze, cough, laugh or vacuum for a while! :-) I hope it was a great rest day! It isn't as much fun as other stuff to me so I just don't (it is also very challenging because I don't do it regularly enough so that makes it even less appealing it seems). I'm trying to tighten up my arms again for summer (since I let them go so much over the winter while I was fighting these darn feet issues) so that's why I've been doing push-ups so much but I'm actually sort of liking the pilates workouts I've done lately (Donna must have brainwashed me somehow) and want to keep working core too.
