Guest guest
Hi Marlis, After my 3rd injection, my upper body, mainly my chest, arms and back, became extremely itchy. No noticable rash, but I did get small scabs from scratching so much. Someone in this group told me that they got dry skin from Humira and switched to oatmeal based soap and lotion. So, I tried that, because I don't want to go off the Humira just yet, it's working for me. Two weeks later I am no longer itchy on my upper torso, it's moved down now to my legs. I'm still using the oatmeal soap and lotion because it does seem to be helping and everyday the itchiness is less. My husband jokes that once it gets down to my feet I will know that it's almost gone. So I think skin problems are a side effect of Humira, but that's just my opinion of course. By this morning I was red blotchy all on my chest and neck, my ears look like they are sunburned badly. I talked with my nurse, told me to take benadryl. A couple hours later she called back after she talked with the Dr., he called me in a predisone dose pack, advised me to take benadryl and if I got worse to go to the ER. Yikes on the ER part. If anyone has had this happen, were you able to continue taking the meds? I can't tell that it has helped any but then its only been 2 1/2 weeks. Just wondering. Any side effects with Enbrel? This may be my next meds. thanks, marlis -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
I think I could handle a little dry skin, but the red blotchy itchy stuff i can''t. For now I won't be taking any more injections. Last night my face was red and itchy, I look like I have a bad sunburn. I think he wants me to try again, but I'm not so sure. Any side effects from Enbrel?
