Guest guest
That shows how different we are. I can take a bottle of Soma and only a few will really work. It seems that most of them are duds, they forgot to put in the gunpowder or something. Guest guest
I also had a bad experience with morphine about six weeks ago. I was in the hospital for five days with pancreaitis. I was on morphine all five days and had hallucinations with it. It was such a scary feeling. Joyce from Texas [ ] Re: morphine scripts Janet and , Thanks for the warning about morphine. None of my docs ever gave me it. My muscle relaxant Soma can make me dopey within hour after I take it. So I definately don't drive. Otherwise it works great. Guest guest
No, I don't disagree with you at all . I just know it felt like every nerve in my body was being stretched to it's limit. The Dr. took me off morphine cold turkey and the hallucinations had stopped by the time I got out of the hospital. It was just the weird feeling I had with my nerves which lasted for more than a week after coming home. According to the nurse I was taking a higher dose of morphine than post opt patients. The only thing that is as bad as the pain from pancreatis is labor pain. The pain medication I was taking before the morphine was Fentanyl 50mcg patches. I don't believe I had become addicted to morphine in such a short time in the hospital but I do believe I had some kind of reaction from it and possibly the Fentanyl patch together. I never thought of the patches untill you mentioned it. In fact when I went to ER I had a patch on me then. I didn't think I would be sick after taking morphine because I've never taken morphine before. ly when I went into the hospital I didn't care what they gave me because I hurt so bad I was almost crying. The surgeon just released me last Friday. Joyce from Texas Re: [ ] Re: morphine scripts I am a newbie to this group however I am not knew to groups nor medication. of course you are going to be sick after taking morphine, it is a very highly addictive drug and anyone will tell you that you don't just stop cold turkey, you have to stop slowly. May I ask what kind of pain medication were you taking prior to the morphine, it is very hard to become dependent on any drug in 5 days unless you are using something else that is highly addictive. Sorry if you don't agree with me, take what you like and leave the rest susan happybluerainbow Joyce McCrary <j.mccrary@...> wrote: I also had a bad experience with morphine about six weeks ago.
