T- Check out NeedyMeds.com, also go to Merck online, and look up patient

assistance. There has to be something out there to help you get your meds.

HI all,

Well, after 2 weeks of alot of pain, I am having my gallbladder out on friday.

It is scheduled as same day surgery, but depending on how my lungs cooperate ( I

tend to be hard to extubate). I've been intubated 13x for my asthma and resp.

failure.

I am very anxious, as is my partner, Amy. She is just glad that once its over

I'll be out of pain (from that anyway!).

I see my rheumy next week and my last appt. we had discussed Remicade, and

I've decided to go with it. I took Humira, which worked, but the way the new

Medicare prescriptions work, I'd have to pay 25% of 1,500 a month, and I don't

have that kind of fundage.

Also, I think I read in a post about a week ago there was someone else on the

list in Oklahoma? Where are you? I am in Claremore.

Anyway, hope everyone is having a relatively good day.

T (yes, ANOTHER ) :)

Good luck with your upcoming surgery.

I take humiria, which I get through a patient assitance program from the drug

company, Because of my lack of income at this time I get mine at no cost, But I

know they also have programs that help with co-payments, Go the the website for

humiria, and look under insurance there should be a 1-800 number you can call to

find out more information. Just so you know most of the drug companies that

make drugs for RA have patient asstiance programs and I do get most of my drugs

that way, some are at no cost, some you make a payment usually about a third of

the normal cost. in WI
