My rheumy is taking me down from 5 mg to " 0 " , by reducing 1 mg per month until I'm off it totally. I will dicuss this with my rheumy, perhaps it's something he may want me to do as well. Reducing the intake of Prednisone is such a delicate thing to do, reduce too much and you are in a terrible fix, don't reduce enough and you become dependent on the higher dose.
