Guest guest
----No. But, my point was to Dennis' comment about printing drug info sheets in Latin so we, the general public, would not be able to understand them---My point is that physicians, who have highly specialized training in medicine and access to the latest in research, likely do know much more about prescription medications than most of us <G>....and if physicians feel that most meds are riskier than laypeople realize......we should want to learn MORE about any meds prescribed for us or our family members...not LESS as Dennis suggests >But do any of those physicians have RA or other diseases? > > >Not an MD > >I'll tell you where to go! > >Mayo Clinic in Rochester ><http://www.mayoclinic.org/rochester>http://www.mayoclinic.org/rochester > >s Hopkins Medicine ><http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org>http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org > > Re: [ ] Re: scared to start my meds > > > At 10:12 PM 12/28/2006, you wrote: > > > >>Maybe the information sheets should be printed in Latin. Guest guest
But , have you heard the old saying that " Ignorance is Bliss " ? I think I'm pretty blissful and getting more so all the time. You haven't noticed, I suppose, but you have to watch my 'humor', it sneaks up on a person. It's like the rules, no flaming and no selling. That means I can't sell my Charcoal Lighters here, huh? She is a wonderful Rheumatologist in her 30's who was diagnosed with RA or JRA when she was 12. She knows the pain first hand and has been on all the med's herself. She is just wonderful. Guest guest
There are websites with information about medications. There are also sites where you can type in all of your meds and get a report on interactions. I don't have time to google them right now.
