Guest guest
Every one who suffers depression feels incurable. Depression wouldn't be so bad if we knew it would be over it soon. And the same goes for anxiety; the sting is the feeling that it is never going to get better. You could buy the book by Burns called 'Feeling Good', it's a very reassuring read for people with depression. He say's there isn't anyone he couldn't cure if he was given enough time. Another good book is 'The Mindfulness Way through Depression' by Mark . This is CBT and Buddhist mindfulness combined. I think mindfulness and meditation is useful for anyone with PSSD. Through mindfulness and acceptance you can learn to transend suffering (by not running away from it). Minfulness bliss is better than sex say some advocates. Anothe good book is 'Radical Acceptance' by Tara Brach, who is Buddhist. If you have atypical depression you could try chromium picolinate at 600 mcg a day. It is supposed to be an efective antidepressant. http://www.pslgroup.com/dg/24448E.htm Its possible that when your deprssion lifts and your stress is reduced your sex drive will return. The brain is greatly harmed by depression and stress actually destroys the same receptors involved with sex drive like the antidepressants do. One person here has claimed that antidepressants are helping to improve his sex drive again. I don't advocate that route but overcoming depression heals the brain. So don't give up, happiness is the best way to overcome PSSD, and it will help lower your blood pressure too.
