Guest guest
Hi Suzanne: Welcome to the group! The people here are very supportive and informative, and I know you will enjoy being a member. I am 52, and have been dx with RA, FM, OA, and Raynaud's syndrome (guess there are no initials for that one lol). I am married for 24 years and have two children 22, and 19, and live on a small farm in southern california with horses, chickens, ducks, geese, and other assorted fowl, and dogs. I love my animals, even though they are a lot of work, because they just bring so much into my life. Just remember, that RA needs to be treated aggressively from the beginning, and in doing so you have the best chance of a positive outcome. I hope that your doctor is of the same mind. Let us know what is said when your blood work comes in. Has he put you on any medications yet to deal with your symptoms? Best of luck - Kathe in CA --- Suzanne <suzanneobr@...> wrote: > Good morning, I am not sure where to start or what > to right, but I'll > give it the ol' college try: > > I am 38 years this fall, athletic, and overall of > good health: was > diagnosed with RA when I was a young child, but > never really had a > flare up. Guest guest
Hi Kathe, and thank you for your thoughts (I always wanted to be a farmer, work the land and oh yeah BONUS: ride a tractor--Gotta love that!) The bood work was drawn Saturday and Doc and i have an appointment set for Thursday to go over all the results. So far he has me taking 500 mg of Naproxin twicw a day... but sheesh it is making my stomach feel cruddy (my respite has been to enjoy my morning yogurt a bit earlier and then take it--later in the evening doesn't seem so bad). I'll post when i have more. I gotta note though, the last fews days i have really felt like my old self again (even pondered a run this afternoon)...
