methotrexate effectiveness

Hi all,

I have a question about how long it takes before I start seeing

results with methotrexate.

I have been taking the oral mtx for 7 weeks (tomorrow will be week 8).

Now that I have ramped up the folic acid, I don't get really bad side

effects, just the brain fog and hangover that comes the next day.

But I was up most of the night with a lot of pain in my wrists, and

now I am having pain in my knees ankles and feet. It is so bad that I

can't even bathe my 20 month old, I am afraid of dropping her.

I am also on Relafen.

I thought I would start feeling a little better by now, but my pain

seems to be the same or worse and is moving around now, before it was

just in my wrists primarily. Maybe my dosage will need to be

increased at my next rheumy visit on the 22nd??

I am fairly new to all of this and it is pretty scary.
