Guest guest
Hi My name is Heidi and I was just DX with sero-negitive RA, which was only a formality for my insurance co. My rheumatoligist told me that it could go away, or turn into full blown RA. Im 29 years old and have watched my mom go through all the pains of RA,since she has had it my entire life. I knew what to watch for and was able to get into the same rheumatoligist that my mom sees. I am now taking hydroxychloroquine (AKA plaquinel) and predinisone, 10MG/day. The predisone will be taken away in a couple of months, which is good because Ive turned very irritable because of it. Im not a stranger to the medical field, my almost 3 YO son had a stroke prior to birth, so for the past couple of years Ive had to deal with several DRs, so Im glad that I have that experience under my belt. Ive learned to stand up for what I think is right, not just go with whatever the Drs tell me to do. Im on a few different groups dealing with my son, so I may not get to this one everyday, but Im glad to have found a support group. I hope to get to know you and learn from you, and maybe even be able to offer support and ideas for some of you as well. Take care Heidi
