Guest guest
I don't believe it is available although some claim they sell on the interenet. As far as I know it started phaseIII tests in mid 2006. So hopefully it will be out soon. Since it is called PT that means it does not have a commercial name. Please correct if information above is not correct. Adil Subject: Newbie -- PT-141 AdviceTo: SSRIsex Date: Tuesday, December 16, 2008, 10:50 AM I'm new to the group having just read the Boston Globe article in awe. I always knew the Prozac I was on for about a month in 1994 while going through a divorce resulted in my being "broken" but did not know it for sure until I read the article and realized a group like yours exists. I am 56 and have suffered with this a long time but I really feel for you young people with this. I have a very understanding wife and I have to inject which I sort have gotten used to but the lack of libido sucks. This has been such a curse and I always knew it was the bleeping Prozac which sent me into short circuit despite a prominent Boston urologist telling me it was from riding a bicycle and the bicycle seat doing it. I only rode a bike about ten times in my adult life but that was his theory du jour and he wanted me to buy into that stupidity.I am reading all kinds of curious things about PT-141. Can someone answer flat out – is this drug available? If so, by prescription, I assume.
Guest guest
Hiya,I've been staying uptodate on the development of PT-141 for quite some time and can catch you up on the newest news. :)PT-141 was later renamed to 'Bremelanotide' and the response of many test subjects in the clinical trials was very inspiring. I recall one older gentleman with ED saying that he felt like a (horny) 15 year old again. *grin* And the fact Bremelanotide could be used to cause arousal in both men and women, whose FSD / arousal disorders are woefully ignored when it comes to treatments, almost makes it a miracle drug for people suffering from ED or FSD.Unfortunately, when its developers - Palatin Technologies - applied for FDA approval earlier this year, it was declined based on the fact a small number of test subjects experienced an increase in blood pressure (although a decrease in blood pressure didn't stop them from approving Viagra...)But there's still hope, because Palatin has reworked the compound and is now beginning tests with PL-6983 . It works the same as Bremelanotide, but in animal tests arousal is detected at 1/10 the dose that can later cause an increase in blood pressure. For more or the latest information, check out Palatin Technologies website (not much info there, but it's all official news) at www.palatin.comor the Bremelanotide Bulletin at http://www.bremolanotide.com/bremelanotide-bulletinBTW, there are a couple other "arousal -causing" drugs being developed along with PL-6983 , but nothing on the market or available by prescription yet...and that's the latest. :-)- Steve I don't believe it is available although some claim they sell on the interenet. Guest guest
Where there is a demand, someone will supply it. It is not available by prescription.
