Guest guest Posted December 17, 2008 Report Share Posted December 17, 2008 i read the boston globe article and signed up with this group. the article gave me the first plausible explanation in 30 years. in the late '70's i was prescribed SSRI for depression. I was on the Rx for at least a year. Lack of libido followed and I began seeking help. you name it, urologists, psychiatrists, psychologist, marriage counseling, testosterone (even though mine was normal), natural 'remedies'. PSSRI was a real problem in my marriage (which is still strong after 41 years) and we struggle with the problem today. my medical docs and psychiatrists consistently pointed to my brain as the source of the problem.
