I have been looking again at the effects of MDMA. When I was taking

MDMA it had a miraculous effect at normalising the tissue in my

testicles and penis.

Something which i had not considered before was that it actually

stimulates almost every neurotransmittor in the prostate, at the same

time.

The prostate is rich in M1 muscarinic receptors and alpha 2 receptors,

as well as 5ht2 receptors. It also requires nitric oxide to elicit

contractions.

Furthermore, MDMA also increases oxytocin at the same time, which acts

on the prostate to aid the transformation from testosterone to DHT.

Firstly, MDMA acts on pretty much the whole central nervous system,

not just serotonin. -5HT receptors, dopamine, noradrenaline, M1 and

M2 receptors, nitric oxide, oxytocin.

It is closely related to amphetamine. Amphetamine also raises

serotonin levels. Most of the drugs that have worked for PPSD raised

serotonin levels.

I expect that you have read lots of crap articles on wikipedia about

how serotonin blocks sex drive completely and domamine enhances it.

This is a huge oversimplification. Although I have taken MDMA several

times and it completely stopped my PSSD for several days people are

very willing to beleive that I am lying or wrong, mainly due to the

huge amount of bad research around.

The 5ht2C receptors are imporant for erections. Although 5ht1a

receptors are not good for libido, they indirectly raise HPA axis and

oxytocin, which also helps to comtrol the prostate and generate DHT

from testosterone.

Whats more, although MDMA is very similar to speed, it works a lot

better interestingly.
