Guest guest Posted April 9, 2012 Report Share Posted April 9, 2012 I did petra kolber's 'bootcmp boogie' with donna today! thanks for working out with me donna! through this whole workout i kept thinking 'this petra is a total genius!!' lots of ways to describe this workout... fun, alot of variety, well structured, high quality production, interesting, pretty good music, great cueing, always on the beat, good backgrounders, very likeable instructor. petra alternates an athletic combo (the bootcamp in the title) and a dancey (the boogie) combo, complete with power pushes, repeating each just the right number of times, does a nice interlude for a little cooldown and then throws those combos away! then she presents a whole new set of athletic and dancey combos. she also doesnt make you do one combo on one side and repeat it all again on the other side. she schedules the other side for later. so, NO endless repetition! and this allows her to fit in ALOT of combos. also it bodes well for repeated usage. there is a short yoga stretch at the end which i also enjoyed. she lost me a few times on a dancey part but the choreo was no where as hard as i thought it was going to be. i really recommend this dvd! i think total run time is 64 mins. :*carolyn.
