Guest guest
I think I mentioned ANOTHER tree went down in our yard -- a mature wild cherry tree. DH and I are cutting it up for more firewood. (Anyone need firewood? - we have plenty!) Due to the growth pattern and size, the logs need to be split with the hydraulic splitter, rather than ax. The splitter is manual, pumping the cylinder back and forth with long handles. So I spent about an hour and a half pumping back and forth -- resistance varied, and I varied my position a lot, too. I was able to position myself to resemble all sorts of familiar punches, putting my shoulders, backs and legs into the motion. I kept up the pumping while DH loaded/unloaded the machine. It was a great upper-body workout, and I got actual work done, too! We're not near finished, either, and all that wood needs to be moved and stacked...more workouts! I am EXTREMELY grateful that I have been doing regular workouts, as it helps me know what positions are safe, and how to vary the positions to maximize efficiency and duration, while giving my muscles a good workout! Dang! Fitness is wonderful!! Indyrose, pleased with her little fit self!
