Hi Tawny:

Good to see you checking in with us. I am glad that

there was nothing too serious with your liver -

I have a fatty liver too, and don't believe it's too

uncommon, as my doctor put it, " lots of people with

your round build have this problem " . Okay, so now I

am round! Good luck with the neuro surgeon - post

when you can, we all understand how flares are! You

are in my prayers -

take care - Kathe

Hi Kathe,

How are ya? It is always so good to hear from you. My doctor told

me there are a lot of people walking around with fatty livers, and

don't know it. I can't believe your doctor said that, how rude! I

don't eat right, so that will be a little hard to change my diet.

Hey Tawny:

Thanks for asking - I'm hanging in there! I have been

going through a RA flare, mostly in my elbows, wrists,

hands and feet, for about a week now. Then the RA

flare began to calm down, and the fibromyalgia took

over! There is no winning here lol. Ah well, I will

get through this - have to do my Arthritis Walk on

Saturday even if I have to take my cane along! Take

care -

Kathe,

There are a lot of us flaring right now, have you noticed? I am

going to start the Prednisone burst, I need something to help me. I

don't like taking it, but sometimes we have to do what we NEED to

do. What a day for me! I went to the dermatologist, I have been

having problems with my skin. Nothing big really, thank gooness. I

then asked her if she dealt with Neurofibromatosis, she told me that

she did. Well, she looked at my head, and told me there was no way I

had it. She then asked me who told me this. I told her my

neurologist had told me this a couple of months ago, and was

scheduling me for surgery any day now. She told me that I

had " Epidermal Cysts " and they usually come up if there has been some

type of trauma, which years ago I had a head injury. She then wanted

to know if I wanted her to cut one out today, of course. She

actually done two of them leaving only a small one. She told me the

insurance company don't like to pay for no more then one at a time.

I am so happy girl, a lot of my stress is going away. My head is

hurting and bleeding a little. She injected two shots around the

area, and it didn't hurt when she did it, but it sure does now. Oh

well, she told me I was one tough cookie. I just can't believe the

doctor diagnosed me wrong, and caused me stress I didn't need. I

might need to find a new one. She saved my insurance company

thousands of dollars today, so I'm so happy to have her. I am slowly

getting some of my health issues taken care of, and hope to start

feeling better. Take care, and a big hug your way, Tawny

Hi Tawny:

I am so happy that you have avoided unneccessary

surgery! However, I am upset that you were given this

diagnosis, which had you so worried and upset, only to

find it was the wrong diagnosis. Guess that shows us

that when we get a diagnosis of any severe illness, a

second opinion is always called for! Hope your head

is feeling better soon!

Let me add my 2 cents too......................glad to hear from you

Tawney...................I don't have much time to post myself. I try to read

as many of the postings as I can each day tho...................My knees are

what is hurting me the worst...............but I am still working hard as ever

as I am afraid if I slow down too much, I will stop and not start again.!!!!

LOL................

The fatty liver ((elevated liver enzyme thing )caught my eye as my son is having

an ultrasound today as we speak for that. He is overweight and hopefully that

is all he needs to do to fix it.......is to lose weight. He is a fast good

junky and computer geek who works on computers all day long sitting

down..............I just hope losing weight is all he needs to do............I

can help with that as I need to do it too.....

Gentle hugs to all from Sunny Southern Oregon,

Pat

Kathe,

I am not feeling well today, my head is sore, not too bad though. I

thought I was in a flare, not really sure. I don't think the

Plaquenil is working all that great for me now. The last month, I

seem to be losing some mobility. You are right, we should always get

a second opinion, I think I've learned my lesson.

You have a blessed day, Tawny

Pat,

I am sorry your having problems with your knees. I know how you feel,

if you stop, you might not be able to start up again. Have you

talked to your doctor? Yes, the fatty liver, I could stand to lose a

few pounds. I don't eat a lot of fast food, I just don't eat right.

I eat when I get hungry, so it's not a healthy diet. I have lost

about 10lbs over the month, so I'm happy about that. The Neurontin

has actually decreased my appetite, sometimes I can go all day

without eating. I hope all goes well with your son. Good luck, it's

hard to get off fast food, once your hooked,:) Keep us posted on how

your feeling, miss hearing from you, hugs Tawny
