I, myself, have had live blood cell analysis done and found out through this naturpathic dr. that I have cancer. I had previously had 4 bloodworks done at various times over the last couple of years. This time I knew when I saw the bloodwork on the screen that it was definitely different. He treats patients from all over the US with cancer, therefore, I believe he must see these cells frequently. But I am coming under heavy opposition from family and friends for agreeing with him and for changing my diet to battle this with his sort of plan. How do you reply to these people especially when there are some folks that want his name and location and I'm sure it's " not " for wanting to go there? Guest guest
It is my experience that it is not possible to overcome the " brainwashing " unless the brainwashed has an open mind. I have spent some time on the alt.support.cancer newsgroup. When i first arrived i gave the URL of my Cancer Journal on the Web and was immediately set upon as by a bunch of Jackels. Two people stand out in my mind: One is a woman who lost her father to cancer and blames it on the fact that he was using alternative treatments. Her reresponse to every article posted about alternative treatment is " Don't bother, it is no good " . Of course she hasn't bothered to find out if it is no good. As a test i gave the URL for a relatively unknown mainstream cancer site that i happened upon, presenting it as an alternative site. Her response was, you guessed it, " Don't bother, it is no good " . The other person calls himself " Steph " and claims to be an oncologist. I am certain that he is a shill for the establishment because he spends all of his time on the newsgroup. I cannot help but wonder when he has time to practice oncology. The reason i mention these two clowns is that those on the NG who are suffering with cancer or have a close one suffering from cancer, accept these two as absolute authorities. Anyone questioning their dogma is dumped on by the sheeple. I now limit my time on that NG to posting relavant information and instructive articles about alternative cancer therapies hoping to reach someone. I do not engage in dialog with anyone because it quickly becomes pouring from the empty into the void -- wore than useless. Of course, maybe i'm just becoming cynical in my old age. >Hello Folks, > >First of all, I would like to give all of you a round of applause for >posting such vital information which most narrow-minded people would >consider to be " quackery " . Guest guest
I have also encountered " Steph " who, in my opinion, is undoubtadly bought and paid for by the pharmaceutical/medical complex. All of these shills' agendas become blatantly obvious after a few posts because they vehemently try to protect orthodox cancer treatments. I'm sure they get a pretty penny for peddling lies for a living, but they are not even worth minimum wage becase their lies are so transparent. Never forget that these people can be posting under several pseudonyms and make it seem as if somebody else is backing them up when in reality it is the same person. Gavin. Guest guest
it is good that you have noticed this, that book, every thing that you need to know. that is not the exact title. but it is the man that you see on info merchials. found it at wal-mart the other day. it has some intersing info. not sure that I beleive every thing. one thing that you might also be aware of is the junk that we are eating that they are putting in our food. even the raw food, has poisans in them from the toxins in the ground & pestisices. as for the water, I am learning that purifying the water is just part of it. the water needs to be boiled to kill the impurities in the water. took me a while to figure out what they mean by distealed water. which is the natural way to do the things that chemicals in the water does not really doing. plus the chemicals in the water is harming our bodys. now if I can just kick the sugar addition, that I have. I wonder how much this has to do with being a child of aholic. but then again I was taught to use sugar as a comfort food. this is something that I have carryed over to my children. one of my daughters made a statement that she was raised on syrup. but to be truthful, we lived with my parents a lot of the time that the girls was growing up. mom was a big coke drinker. mary w. > > For a few years, my wife has noticed and commented on the fact that when we > go somewhere for more than a day, I feel better. Guest guest
-Dennis, I think that you are on to something here. IF you feel better after one or two days away from home and then get sicker when you get home, it makes sense that something there at home is causing you to feel bad...and with your DW starting to show similar symptoms...the first thing that I would check would be the water. And a system on the sink like mentioned below would not be very costly..maybe less costly than putting in a filtering system on your well. I would look into it if it was me. We have water that is high in some type of alkali where I am..it keeps clogging all the faucets..they have to be flushed out every 4-5 weeks to keep them running...I sure would not want to be drinking that stuff. We drink bottled water because there is a place here in town where it is cheap to get it by the gallon...so thats how I deal with the water. Jut recycle our gallon bottles and fill them every week in town...I hope you get this figured out so both of you can start to feel better, it might really make a big difference in how you feel!!...jenna -- In , " mary " <wolfygammie@...> wrote: > > it is good that you have noticed this, that book, every thing that > you need to know. that is not the exact title. but it is the man > that you see on info merchials. found it at wal-mart the other day. > it has some intersing info. > not sure that I beleive every thing. > one thing that you might also be aware of is the junk that we are > eating that they are putting in our food. even the raw food, has > poisans in them from the toxins in the ground & pestisices. > > as for the water, I am learning that purifying the water is just > part of it. the water needs to be boiled to kill the impurities in > the water. took me a while to figure out what they mean by distealed > water. > which is the natural way to do the things that chemicals in the > water does not really doing. plus the chemicals in the water is > harming our bodys. > now if I can just kick the sugar addition, that I have. Guest guest
Hi I am sorry to hear your neck fusion failed so badly for you. All I can tell you is a second surgery is always a risk. I knew that going into my 2nd and 3rd on my back. Any surgery is a 50/50 chance. Can your dr's give you a better chance than that that another surgery will help you that much??? Have you checked with a second dr to see if he would suggest the samething for you?? I know not sleeping in a bed gets old, I have slept more in my recliner than a bed for many nites and am just starting to be a little more comfortable in a bed after 6 long yrs. SO I know exactly how you feel you just don't sleep as well I don't think but I know if a bed is more uncomfortable that you won't sleep at all which is no help. I'd talk to as many other dr's as you can and get as many opinions as you can, then list the pros and cons and then you will have to decide for yourself. Its a tough decision I know pain has forced me to 3 surgeries the 4th I took before it got to that. But I knew it was my Last chance for any normal kind of life again, so I took it. These things you will have to make your own decision on, if its worth trying it to see if the pain is less and you are better or will it be the same or worse? I can't believe the dr's would suggest it if they honestly thought it would make you worse but its hard to tell with some dr's they just like to operate. You know your dr's better than we do and only you can decide if you want to take the chance one more time to see a improvement in your life. I wish you the best of luck with your decision I know its not an easy one for you. I've been in your shoes myself.Sorry if this isnt much help. Best wishes. Sharon Group Owner > > I have never written to a list to ask for advice but I feel that there has to be someone out there that may have some helpful words. I had a cervical fusion 5 years ago and it did not go well for many reasons but the main reason being I did not heal before I went to work and started to do normal activities. Now I have an abnormal curve in my neck which they say is kyphosis and have been told it can be corrected with a metal plate. I have some days that are good but many that are very very bad. I am an active person and when I have a bad day I try to keep going but I just can't. The pain will cause me to lose sleep and then I usually get sick with a cold or sinus infection or whatever is going around the office. The pain pills and muscle- relaxer helps but I HATE that feeling! I hate the pain more. > > I have been told that if I have the surgery for the plate that I will be better and I will not lose range of motion. I have not slept in a bed for 5 years and find them very uncomfortable and they say the plate could help that situation as well. My fusion is C5-6 and C6-7 . I also have lower back pain and degenerative changes as well as arthritis in the lumbar area. Even worse I have severe arthritis in my knees and hands and I am only 40! I feel 80. The last thing I want to do is complain and whine about my situation but I want to be better has anyone had a second surgery that has been successful or are they just going to take another whack at it and I will be the same if not worse. Thank you for you comments. > Beth > >
