Guest guest
Hi Keys: You are not " foolish " to be fearing the legacy of RA. It's a scary disease. It is absolutely normal to worry after what you have seen your mom go through. I know that my children, (well, 19 and 22, not exactly kids, but always my babies) also deal with knowing that they might also someday inherit RA or another autoimmune disease, and it hurts to know that I may have become a link in the chain that leads to them. Worry is part of life, we just have to put it in perspective, and sometimes that is not easy to do when the situation is an emotional one. I think it is wonderful what you are doing for your mother, researching and finding information for her, to enable you both to learn more about RA and the treatment available now. I am sorry that your mother's RA has had such a devastating effect on her life. Don't even think of not coming back here! We are very happy to have family members and friends who want to learn more! I learn something new each day I read the posts here, and know that you will too, and maybe some you can pass on to your mother. I hope someday your mother can come and join in too. Take care - and like the song " don't worry, be happy " ! Kathe in CA > > > Kathe " To ride a horse is to borrow freedom.
