Guest guest
Hi all, Ive decided to call my rheumy today and ask if we have to wait the full 3 mos (Its been about 2 1/2) to take me off humira and start olencia or something similar-humiras obviously not helping. I was miserable all last week and this weekend. My feet/ankles hurt when i walk. I am just totally disgusted with this disease. Guest guest
HI All I have had Reactive Artritis for 4 years but only diagnosed it 2.5 years ago . I'm 38. As you all know its a living hell. I stopped taking methotrexate 8 months ago or so as i was fed up. Five weeks ago a doctor i saw by chance prescribed me doxycycline after asking him if it was possible that i still had the infection in my body that apparently had caused the artritis in the first place. It reminded him of another patient who had RA and came to him with an unrelated sinus infection. He prescribed the doxy and 2 weeks later she returned free of most of her RA symptons as well as the sinus infection of course. I knew i was on to something and searched the web. I came across www.rheumatic.org Antibitic therapy for RA, Lupus etc. I contacted a person who wrote their story about how they were virtually cured using the therapy. They were adamant it works and sent me a book to read The New Arthritis Breakthrough' by Henry Scammell. I started the antibiotics 4 weeks ago. Today was my first day virtually pain free for 4 years. I am so grateful and i know it will continue as i can feel it inside my body getting better. I went to work tonight and the first thing someone said is " what have you done, you look younger? " . (my face isnt puffy with fluid). The best thing about this therapy is you can try it whilst staying on existing meds and it is completely safe with no dangerous side effects. The antibiotics recommended are different to other antibiotics and can be safely taken indefiinitely. Please at least read all the informtion and patient experiences on the web site and read the book. It is clinically proven to work, it isnt an airy fairy treatment. Its working for me and i can't recommend it enough as i know what you are all going through.
