Just Started Plaquenil Again - Questions

Hi.

I was on Plaquenil before, but it was stopped when I began having

vision trouble about 14 months ago - which was then diagnosed as

being MS related, not from the meds.

For whatever reason, this time around I am experiencing horrible

stomach cramps (I do eat with the doses I take), and my face has

broken out worst than it has ever been in my life. I had a

Christmas Party to attend last night, and I damn near didn't go

because of how bad my skin was. I stopped Plaquenil 2 days ago, and

now the stomach pain has ended and my face is clearing.

Coincidence??? Or has this happened to anyone else?

It also has not made any difference as far as controlling my RA

goes. I am going to be taking MTX injections only. Is there anyone

else who only takes MTX? I can't take Prednisone any longer, as I

gained 65 pounds on it and have finally lost it over the past 3.5

months after stopping my dose. I will never take it again as it

made me eat non-stop and gain weight. The emotional and the

physical pain from the weight gain was overwhelming and I don't ever

want to have to deal with that again.
