Guest guest
the way to support those growing true food - as opposed to the ersatz " image " of food - is to pay them what their labours deserve. This means high prices. There is a two-tier food system going on, whether you like it or not. Since I came on this forum, silver has gone from $4.50 per troy ounce to almost $10. Thus my judgment about what inflation is doing has been borne out. And it's going to get a lot worse, soon. You get what you pay for. _______________________ > > If you read up on commercial growing practices, you'll find that > citrus fruits are also often sprayed with numerous chemicals, > including artificial sweeteners. > > In One Straw Revolution, by fukuoka, there's mention of how the > Japanese want their foods to look a certain way -- there's ONE > perfect size of this that or the other vegetable or fruit and thus > the commercial growers use lots of chemicals to get what they > consider the perfect 'look' in the crop.
