Guest guest
Oh no! So sorry to hear about your pain and now your husband being down for a bit also! If you can get a surgery date soon and I can handle the trip I'd be more than happy to help you out as much as I can, let me know! It's no more than I'd have to do here for myself but doing windows is out haha Good job on the pain meds, I'd have been popping them with company but understand you wanted to try to be without them for that time. Did you at least have a great time besides hubby's knee? So glad to hear from you, now I need to go lay down Connie Im still here > Hey All > And welcome to all the newcomers that Ive missed that have joined this wonderful group lately. > NO Connie, Im not lost in 'gatorland " haha. Have had company staying with us for awhile, so have been trying to be a cheery hostess as Im dying with pain. So when they would leave to hit a Florida attraction or go to the beach, I headed straight for the painkillers, bypassing the computer and then heading straight for the bed!!!!!! Company left last nite!!!! > Oh I'm getting excited, only " 5 " days to go before i get to see the Neuro Surgeon!(It's like a child getting excited waiting for Christmas morning-haha,funny) Well since the Doc has been on vacation the entire month of May, Ive been told by his office he has no surgeries scheduled yet for June.Which means I could be able to have the surgery as early as next week. Oh the lower back pain and numbness in my thigh are much worse, its driving me nuts.I know its gotten worse because ive been standing on my feet to much with company here(cooking, extra laundry etc) Demerol,Lortabs and Soma's are bearly touching it now...only 5 days to go,only 5 days to go!!!! > Now for the worst part,my husband was playing softball Memorial Day and did some damage to his meniscus(Knee), so he has to have Orthoscopic surgery next Tuesday...there goes the idea of him taking care of me when im down. > Oh well Im back... > > >
Guest guest
, There's still hope your husband can care for you. I had arthroscopic knee surgery for a shredded meniscus and when my husband drove me home from the hospital, he realized he had the flu & promptly took to bed. After 2 seconds of feeling sorry for myself, I threw the crutches in a corner & cared for him & the kids! LOL. Oh, Lordy! Besides, recovery from minor knee surgery is nothing compared to back surgery. You need lots of TLC. We 're all pulling for you. sonia
Guest guest
Thanks ....really appreciate it. Never going thru either one of these surgeries we don't know what to expect....my mother has already volunteered to come and help and my 22yr old daughter(and her kids) are still at home. So it will work out. RE: Im still here , There's still hope your husband can care for you.
