OH MY GOD Mike. You pay 3000. A month???? I order my Enbrel through the mail

and a 3 month supply is $25. I use Caremark for my mail order pharmacy because

they were the cheapest. The methotrexate is a little more as I buy that

through my local pharmacy but still I only pay $25 a month.

Here is the number for Enbrel. Maybe they can help you with that price.

NO THAT WAS A 3 MONTH SUPPLY . I'M WITH CAREMARK TOO. I HAVE TO PAY 10% OF

IT WHICH IS $377.79 . BUT THAT STILL HURTS THE OLD WALLET. YOU MUST HAVE A

BETTER INS. PLAN THEN I DO AT WORK. I DON'T SE HOW SOME PEOPLE GETS TO PAY SO

LESS . MIKE

I believe Mike was talking about cash pay price with NO insurance...I

use to have caremark and I had a $40 co-pay for three months and then

it went to $60 for a three month supply...plus I had to order three

month supply..

I do have to agree with you that Caremark is one of the best mail-

order pharmacies I have dealt with.

I would suggest you check the online site and see if it tells you

what the actual cost of med was...you will then see what you plan

paid and what you had to pay. It ain't cheap!!!

Mike also check with Enbrel patient assistance section. They can

lead you to groups that help with the portion you have to pay. I

know I signed up for one when I was first going to go on Humira..but

my old rheummy never signed the paperwork and moved away...so I never

actually got it.

All of the patient assistance programs are income driven..but worth a

try. $337 is a lot of money to have to pay!!!

I know that my pharmacy plan does not cover any injectable drugs at

all...but my major medical plan covers 100% so they claim. This is

the first time I have used it and I have not seen the bill yet.

Check and see if any of this can be covered by your major medical.

The other idea is what is your max out of pocket cost? Because you

may be able to get at least the last 3 month supply and doc visits

covered at 100%.

My out of pocket is $1400 a year...once I get there they cover

everything at 100%. I have Cinga which sucks as an insurance company

anyway..plus its a PPO. I use to have United healthcare..which was

great...they paid for everything with very little out of

pocket...plus I had a low out of pocket limit...so by mid-year I was

at 100% pay level for everything...which I loved!!

The only positive thing I can say right now is that I will have

plenty of medical bills to claim on my taxes.
