Guest guest Posted January 15, 2007 Report Share Posted January 15, 2007 Good morning - I have a question that perhaps someone in the group can answer. I am a 46yo female with RA. I have a lot of problems with tendonitis in my right elbow. My RA medicines seem to do nothing for it. Cortisone shots are wonderful but no longer last that long. I have had so many shots that my skin has turned white from deterioration. The orthopedist I saw wants to move the tendon to a new area. Has anyone had this type of surgery? Was it successful? How long was the recovery? I am very apprehensive about starting the surgical route. The orthopedist has also reccomended that I have both shoulders done to remove bone spurs and clean them out.
